 One recent significant event in geography was the release of the IPCC's Sixth Assessment Report in 2021, which stressed the significance of addressing climate change. Research continues to be conducted to improve our understanding of natural hazards and urbanisation patterns. Technology is also being used to help us assess risks more precisely and plan for sustainable urban growth.
